Halfway Reflection
14A
I think I am pretty tenacious in everything I do. I believe I demonstrate my tenacity by showing how well I keep up with this class. This class is an online one, and with three other on-campus classes, and two online, scheduling and prioritizing can get difficult. Both of my online classes require a lot of time and hard work.
One time, while doing a group project, my teammates weren’t cooperating. I felt mistreated and like I was doing all the work that they were going to get credit for. I ended up speaking to the professor and she had told me that in the field of Advertising, sometimes you have to work with others like that, but in the peer reflections, you can tell me all about it. I spoke to my teammates since I didn’t want to give them a bad review, and they ended up stepping up and helping me with the final draft of the project.
Some tips:
1. Never give up, it is worth it in the end
2. Interviews are a trial and error thing, just shake off the rejection
3. Make sure you prioritize this class since it is time-consuming.

I love the picture you attached! So cute. I'm also in other online classes besides this one, so I relate to you when you say that scheduling and prioritizing different work can be hard. With online classes, sometimes I lose track of due dates and get mixed up because there is no physical teacher that I see weekly reminding me of what is coming up. A planner has helped that at least. I also really respect that you spoke to your teammates first instead of just giving them a bad review. I know that if I was your teammate I would've really appreciated that and fixed my behavior right away.
ReplyDeleteGood job!
Hello Deborah,
ReplyDeleteI have three of these blended classes myself and find it a little difficult in trying to manage your time and schedule everything appropriately to try and finish everything. I agree with your tips . i have a similar one for the never give up one and put that your grade depends on you so you should do your work. Also for your last tip I agree completely. I personally underestimated the amount of work this class needs but I stepped up and am keeping it up with it all. Also the picture you used was very cute!
Hey Deborah,
ReplyDeleteI have two online and two on-campus classes so I also see where you are coming from. Last semester in a group of 6 I felt like there were two members (one including myself) working on our final project for the class. It was frustrating and I actually had to help others get started with their work because otherwise they would not have done it at all. Your tips are very helpful and not only can be used for this class but life in general!
