Final Reflection
30A
I think the experience that was most formative was the interview processes that I went through. I am a very shy person and never thought that I could go up to a stranger and interview them. The experience I’ll remember years later is reading all of my peer’s entrepreneur stories. It was nice to see where they came from and how they developed to become an entrepreneur. I would say my most joyous experience were the reading reflections. I enjoyed the books I read and they motivated me to continue. The experience I am most proud of is the elevator pitch. I think I really nailed it and have it memorized and I could actually use it as an elevator pitch in the future. I think I do see myself as an entrepreneur, especially with my grandparent’s experience and expertise. One recommendation I would make to the students going through this journey in the future would be to keep up with the assignments and find an invention that will solve a problem that you are interested in. Having that passion will make the assignments so much easier. I also recommend than to do all of the assignments as most of them kind of build off of each other.

Deborah,
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with your point that this class has made all of us more bold in that we can go up and talk to strangers and divulge information from them. I mentioned that in my post because it was a terrifying yet liberating experience. I am glad to see someone shared my perspective.
One thing that you wrote about that I found interesting was the stories that our classmates shared with us that were as you said nice to read. I wish I has mentioned some of the interesting things I had read because I know some of the stories will stick with me.
I also appreciate how accurate your advice is. I wrote something along the same lines, but your captured the essence above.
Excellent work!
I hope that your college experience (and life) will be wonderful!

Hey Deborah,
ReplyDeletePassion is a huge part of life, and seeing yours throughout this semester and hearing you mention it to future students is a good conclusion to this class. With everything in life, find a passion for something can help you get through the roughest times. Being an entrepreneur will not be easy, but so long as a continue to follow your passion success will follow.
Hi Deborah,
ReplyDeleteI also liked my elevator pitch the best! I was proud of mine by the end of this whole process, and I also thought it was entertaining and a fun assignment to get creative with. It was also fun watching other people's pitches and connecting faces to names. Keeping up with assignments was the same advice I gave in my post; if you procrastinate or skip assignments it will be really hard to catch up because of how quickly we have to develop our products.
Great job!
