What's Next?

Existing Market
I think the next step would be to start thinking about designs and potentially build a prototype. After that, I should make a layout of an app and know exactly what I want it to accomplish. In order to expand my market, I should grow my connections with businesses and people who can help me get far. I will also conduct more interviews to get more feedback. I will work on implementing them.

New Market
Right now, my market is both a B2B and B2C business. The manufacturers would be able to build in the LED lights to their machines and the customers who already have a dryer can just add on the extension. I could also make another “LED” but add sound to it and make the LED a yellowish color. With these updates, my invention would be easily accessible to all types of people, the blind, deaf, and colorblind. The update would be my new target market.

  1. Hey Deborah, I think the idea of adding a a new color or sound to the LED light would be very interesting and beneficial to those with any sort of disability. Being both a B2B and B2C opens up a variety of options when trying to figure out how to sell it, who to sell to, and where to sell it.

  2. Hey,
I love how you identified your market as both B2B and B2C. I also didn't know there was any sort of extension that customers with driers already could get, and that's a great idea! It would definitely boost sales and allow people to use your product without spending hundreds on new machines. There is a lot of potential here.
    Great job!

  3. Hey Deborah,
Your idea for what's next for your current customers sounds like you are ready to get something out to your customers and hear back from them on before continuing to improve your innovation. That is an exciting concept, however, I believe that you are missing out on where you can expand your market outside of the place you have mentioned. You could market towards laundromats to expand your market without needing to make a large change to your innovation or concept.
